Free Camping at Pilliga National Park NSW

img_20161006_172938Pilliga National Park has free camping at the Sculptures in the Scrub Walk. The campground is a few hundred meters from the carpark from the Sculptures in the Scrub Walk. There are long drop toilets, picnic area with BBQs and tables situated next to carpark.. The camp ground is flat and various sizes, some have rock fire pits.

We came in off the Newell Highway, its about 30 km to the camp site and when we left we headed to Baradine which was about 35km. The road is undulating straight dirt road with patches of thick sand with sections of thick mud. It had rained a day or two before we drove on this road. I would check road conditions with national parks website or the local tourist information before traveling.
