Mount Wilson is a beautiful little heritage garden village located at Mount Wilson, NSW. Surround by the Blue Mountain National Park, the area is blessed with rich volcanic soil, letting the native plants and heritage gardens flourish. The popular times to visit the village, are autumn with its picturesque leaves and spring with gardens of colour. The village is stunning to take your time and walk around enjoying tree lined streets and beautiful gardens and check out its historical building, St Georges Church and the Turkish Bath. There are plenty of picnic table scattered around the town where you can simply sit and enjoy a meal and soak in the scenery. Cathedral Reserve is an unofficial campground and a great picnic spot, with picnic tables, firepits / BBQS (bring your own wood) and long drop toilets. The Cathedral of Ferns walking trail is next to Cathedral Reserve and is a great easy loop track through a fern filled rain-forest pocket. The Waterfall Reserve is another popular picnic spot with long drop toilets, picnic area and a walk to 2 waterfalls, the walk is steep down hill with a few steps to the stunning waterfalls.The area is a rain-forest, filled with stunning array of ferns. The walk out is very steep with lots of steps. There are many walking trails in Mount Wilson short easy strolls to the challenging longer tracks. There is no shops or petrol stations in Mt Wilson so make sure you have enough supplies with you.
