Belmore Falls is located on the southern highlands of NSW Australia, in the Morton National Park, and just a short 11km drive from Robertson and another 4km from the Famous Robertson Pie Shop. This part of the Morton National Park is stunningly beautiful with its thick Australian bush, the meandering Barrengarry Creek and its many magical waterfalls.
Driving from Robertson along the Belmore Falls Road the road which will turn to dirt, and soon after that you’ll drive past a road to the left called Wallaby Hill Road. Just past this turn, on your right is a very small track that is a little over grown and rough but you can get a car in there and there is a small car park and from here it’s about 1km walk down the road to the creek. Once you reach the creek turn to the left to find Horse Shoe Falls.
Once you finish their jump back into the car and make a right turn onto Belmore Falls Road and drive to the next turn on the left and follow this one way narrow track to the small picnic area. You can park your car here and head to your right past both picnic tables there is a bit of a track to the fence. Once you reach the fence you will need to jump it and look for the steps off to the left which will soon lead you back to the right and the stone steps the track isn’t maintained and has a few rocks slides and fallen trees and can be very slippy once you reach the bottom of the first falls. We made it to the bottom in 30 minute and it took 45 minutes to walk back to the car.
.Back in the car and carry along the one way road , which has a few lookouts of Belmore Falls on the left and it’s just a short walk to both lookouts. At the end of the road turn left and follow the road looking for a small car park on the right, park your car here and follow the track (be careful on this track its easy to get lost). You will come to a creek cross it and from here you can go left and follow the creek or take a track up the small hill and off to the left (I recommend this way, but be careful it’s so easy to get lost). This is a beautiful quiet place with a waterfall you can walk behind , we loved the peace and sounds of nature.
Turn right out of the car park onto Belmore Falls Road and you will cross the Barren Garry Creek causeway and keep following the road towards Wildes Meadow until you spot a small bridge.Find somewhere to park the car, here you need to go to the far side of the small bridge and turn left follow the creek for about 1km, there isn’t much of a track here but it’s not a difficult walk.
All these tracks are not serviced by Parks and Wildlife and aren’t easy walking, use extreme care if you choose to do theses walks.
